The structure of Sport at The Perse School
The main focus for the school sport is Rugby, Hockey, Cricket and Netball. From the First to Third year, pupils are split into ability groups, where they are coached by specialists and encouraged to progress through the groups. By the Fourth year options are introduced and given to those pupils who wish not to participate in the main sport for the term, however this option is not available to all pupils. Once the pupils enter the Fifth and Sixth Form they are offered a games option and have the freedom to choose from the option list.
Season 2006 / 2007
The Perse School Sport has a strong reputation for being good at Cricket, Hockey, Netball and Rugby. Very competitive fixture lists, quality coaching and a professional ethos enhances our reputation as a good sports school.

Co-education
With full co-education approaching, we view to run Hockey, Netball and Tennis as main sports of the school. An option of lacrosse as an alternative for netball could be offered. Extra-curricular clubs of indoor football and cricket will be available, with a view to run teams but avoiding clashes with the main sports of the term. Provision for girls will be made in all of the extra-curricular clubs that are currently offered, plus the introduction of more individual sports.
