The Perse School Entrance Test for 11+ and 13+ entry in September of each year will occur on the last Saturday in January of that year. To register to sit the test please contact the Head's PA, Mrs Karen Gibson. The deadline for entrance test registrations is the end of December before the entrance test in January of each year.
Parents wishing to enter their children for the 11+ and 13+ Entrance Test should do so by completing a registration form.
At 11+ the Entrance Test consists of papers in Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
At 13+ the Entrance Test consists of papers in Maths, English and two Verbal Reasoning.
Pupils with Special Educational Needs should discuss their application with the school prior to the Entrance Test.
The Sixth Form Scholarship Test occurs following the Sixth Form Open Evening in November of each year. More details about this can be found in the Sixth Form prospectus.
Specimen papers / Syllabus
The following specimen papers (in pdf format) have been provided as examples of the examinations sat by pupils on application to The Perse at 11+ and 13+. Syllabi for the Mathematics 13+ and 11+ are also provided. The Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning tests are subject to copyright so we are unable to provide specimen papers but we have included some similar example questions.
Please Note: The Perse School will not enter into any correspondence with regard to specimen papers on this website. They are provided simply as helpful examples to aid preparation and should be understood as such. Solutions will not be provided or discussed by the school. All papers have been converted into pdf format and may have suffered slight layout alterations as a result.
